Trilogy Health Services Announces the Opening of 57th Health Campus

Louisville, KY (February 4, 2010) – Trilogy Health Services, LLC (“Trilogy”) today announced the opening of Cypress Pointe Health Campus and the Legacy at Cypress Pointe in Englewood, Ohio.
Cypress Pointe is a senior living community located in northeast Montgomery County on West National Road.

It features a Trilogy “Town Square” prototype facility and a separate Legacy facility for those with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. Exclusive to Cypress Pointe is the innovative Town Square Residential Living model, which allows the campus to offer a full continuum of senior living and related healthcare services including short-term rehabilitation, long-term care and assisted living in a non-institutional setting.

Cypress Pointe features a predominance of private room accommodations and numerous common living areas including a Sun Terrace, Living Room and Library where residents can relax and visit with guests. Inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services are delivered in a state-of the-art Health Club located in the Health Center. Dining Services, featuring menu selections are offered in three distinct dining areas and a private dining room is available for use by residents and families, as well as area civic groups.

Also located on the Cypress Pointe Campus is The Legacy, a 30-unit memory care residence designed specifically for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. The Legacy design provides maximum independence and personalized care in a secured environment, which resembles a home more than an institution. Features of The Legacy include “life stations” that encourage residents to engage in familiar tasks, and décor that encourages memories of days gone by, a secured courtyard that promotes regular contact with nature, family-style dining, and private bedrooms with private baths. The activity programs are specially designed to be responsive to the energy patterns of those living with dementia and are based on protocols embraced by advocacy groups such as the Alzheimer’s Association and the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America. Staff working in The Legacy receive additional dementia-specific training that encompasses person-centered approaches to care, communication techniques, behavioral interventions, and working with residents’ families.
