Customer Service Moments

December’s recipients are Employees who demonstrated a strong commitment to Trilogy’s Cultural Excellence and performed acts of Compassionate Customer Service to residents, families, employees and our communities.

Jamie Insco, Chef at Triple Creek Retirement Community, recently heard that one resident, Bonnie, and her husband would be celebrating their 31st wedding anniversary. Bonnie was recently placed on hospice, and she and her husband spend most every day together. Jamie came in on his day off to prepare a gourmet anniversary dinner for the couple. The Hospice company brought in their favorite chocolate cake from Frisch's for dessert. Bonnie’s room was prepared for a cozy dinner, as they celebrated what could be their last anniversary together. Jamie truly exhibits the Trilogy standards for providing excellent customer service and has a humble servant attitude.

Onyinyechi Eze, CRCA at Autumn Woods Health Campus in New Albany, always goes above and beyond. The residents and families love and appreciate her so much for her kindness, including this recent act of customer service. One of our resident’s wife does his laundry and she found it difficult to bend over to retrieve the laundry from the closet. Onyinyechi observed this and was worried that she might fall, so she purchased a laundry basket, lined it with a bag and placed it in the closet. She explained, “all she has to do is pick up the bag and be on her way!” This will make it so much easier for her and keep her safe. What a simple, but kind, customer service moment! Onyinyechi is such an asset to this campus and Trilogy in general.

Brooke Inman, CRCA at Mill Pond Health Campus, is on a roll! We have a resident named Ann, who has lived in Assisted Living for many years. She and her daughter had an annual tradition of having a steak dinner for Christmas. Since Ann has declined in health, she isn't as able to go to her daughter’s house as much. At some point, Brooke Inman asked Ann what she wanted for Christmas and Ann told her "a steak dinner.” Brooke came in after hours one evening and set up the private dining room with Christmas dishes, and cooked and served Ann and her entire family a steak dinner! Brooke is once again our customer service moment candidate for a 3rd consecutive week! It seems as though Brooke is on a Secret Santa mission for her residents.

The holiday cheer is abundant at Glen Oaks Health Campus & Senior Living this season! Kelly Shook, campus cook, and Ashley Patton, CRCA, personally sewed 150 stockings; one for each of our residents! As if that wasn't enough, the pair actually personalized each stocking with everyone’s first name.

Tammy Ramirez, CRCA Preceptor at Greenleaf Health Campus, goes above and beyond for our residents. Tammy, has a special bond with one of our residents named Edna, who recently told our staff how much she loves Christmas lights. Hearing this, Tammy asked for Edna’s family’s permission to take Edna to see the lights around town, and the family agreed. Tammy came in on her own time that evening and, with assistance, took Edna around Elkhart to see the lights. In addition they brought a tree with lots of lights to decorate her room. The look on Edna’s face was priceless.

Chris Diaz, Activities Director at Richland Manor, has been an employee for many years and loves her residents like family. On Thanksgiving Day, Chris left her own family in order to serve our residents as she transported a couple to their family Thanksgiving. This couple has been married for 72 years and wanted to attend their huge family get-together. How surprised the family was when Grandma and Grandpa were able to come! "When you have been married 72 years,” the resident said, “you never know how many more family Thanksgivings you will have together.”
